Celebration Ball

Star for the brides dance

EVENING EXPRESS, SEPTEMBER 24th 1969

THE ‘Evening Express’ Bride of the Year will be named at a celebration dance in the Palace Ballroom, Aberdeen, tomorrow evening.

And there to present the winner with her prizes will be the talented popular Noele Gordon, who has played Meg Richardson in ‘Crossroads’ since the television programme began on November 2, 1964.

Noele, whose mother hails from Macduff, has a big following in the North-East [of Scotland]. She has done much good for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and tomorrow realises her ambition to go to sea in a lifeboat.

She has been invited to take part in a full-scale exercise in the Aberdeen lifeboat, which will leave Pocra Quay station, Footdee, at 10 a.m.

Don’t forget to see Noele at the Bride of the Year celebration dance.
